The remarks were given by former Secretary General of the then Organization of African Unity (OAU), now known as African Union, Dr Salim Ahmed Salim in New York yesterday. Dr Salim was giving a key note address at the occasion to mark Africa Vision awards. The awards were intended to reflect on the past and contemplate about the future.
